PopStock is an innovative hybrid nonprofit/for-profit platform at the intersection of EdTech and FinTech. Our mission is to make financial literacy engaging and accessible through a gamified simulated stock market, where students trade fictional stocks of real world music artists. By combining real-world market principles with an immersive educational experience, we are empowering young people with the tools they need to succeed financially.

We’re seeking a Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to help us expand our reach through school partnerships, curriculum integration, and institutional collaboration.

The Role

As CRO, you will drive all revenue-generating efforts for PopStock, balancing the needs of both our nonprofit and for-profit initiatives. You will be responsible for securing school and university partnerships, working with curriculum developers, and leveraging your network to create opportunities for scaling our impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead PopStock’s revenue strategy, focusing on securing B2B/B2G sales and partnerships with schools, school districts, and higher education institutions
Develop and manage relationships with educational publishers, curriculum providers, and community organizations
Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to define sustainable pricing models, sales strategies, and partnership frameworks that align with our hybrid business model
Identify and pursue grant-funded opportunities, government contracts, and educational partnerships
Build and lead a sales team as we grow

Must-Have Experience:

Proven track record in sales or revenue leadership roles, ideally within the K-12 or Higher Education space
Strong network and established relationships within school systems, universities, or educational organizations
Deep understanding of the education procurement process and the unique dynamics of hybrid nonprofit/for-profit models
Experience in building scalable partnerships and securing funding opportunities, particularly in the educational sector

Nice-to-Have:

Existing relationships with educational publishers, curriculum providers, or edtech platforms
Experience in navigating both nonprofit and for-profit revenue streams
Passion for financial literacy and empowering young people to become financially independent

Compensation:

This is an equity-based leadership role, with compensation provided through equity at the outset. As PopStock hits key milestones, salary options will become available. We are looking for someone who believes in our mission and is eager to join a long-term leadership team committed to making a difference.
